In an emotional finish, Quinn Simmons emerged victorious in the third stage of the 2025 Tour de Suisse. The American, who was part of the day’s breakaway, won solo after covering 195.6 kilometers between Aarau and Heiden.

The American champion was the strongest in a group of six riders that broke away from the start and led the peloton by 18 seconds, led by Portuguese rider João Almeida (UAE Team Emirates – XRG). Third was Briton Oscar Onley (Team Picnic PostNL).

As for the only Colombian competing, Boyacá native Nairo Quintana (Movistar Team) finished 45th, a minute and a half behind the winner. The Beetle improved 30 places in the general classification, which is still led by Frenchman Romain Grégoire (Groupama – FDJ).

The Swiss race will continue this Wednesday with the fourth stage, a 193.2-kilometer section between Heiden and Piuro (Valchiavenna), a route that includes a long mountain pass halfway through the route.
