In an uphill finish, Andrea Ramirez (Pato Bike BMC Team) won a spectacular solo victory on Wednesday in the second stage of the Women’s Tour of Colombia 2025, disputed over 114.8 kilometers between Girardot and Alto de la Linea. The Mexican became the new leader of the national round.

Ramírez, who was part of the day’s breakaway, topped the out-of-category climb after staying at the top of the competition with a constant pace to take a heroic victory in the legendary Colombian pass, where she arrived first, becoming the overall leader.

The second position at the finish line at 2 minutes and 41 seconds was for María Paula Latriglia (Team Sistecrédito), while the former leader Diana Carolina Peñuela (Team Sistecrédito) arrived third at 2:58 of the winner.

The riders Andrea Catalina Rosas (Team Boyacá es Para Vivirla), Adriana Blas (San Mateo Tour and Nativa), Daniela Soler (Team Boyacá es Para Vivirla), María Paula Latriglia (Sistecrédito) and the Mexican Andrea Ramírez (Pato Bike BMC Team) were part of the great breakaway of the day. The quintet rode in the lead for most of the demanding route.

In the climbs that precede the Linea, the leading group took a good advantage that was around six minutes. In the Alto del Perico, Andrea Catalina Rosas (Team Boyacá es Para Vivirla) crowned in first position and in the Alto del Tigre, María Paula Latriglia (Sistecrédito) took the lead.

Later, in the first kilometers of the climb to the Alto de La Línea, María Paula Latriglia (Sistecrédito) and the Mexican Andrea Ramírez (Pato Bike BMC Team) took the lead. In the group of favorites, no team chased the leading duo, which favored the two leaders.

The Colombian women’s round will continue this Thursday with the dispute of the third stage, a mostly flat day of 114.1 kilometers between Armenia and Buga.
