The Colombian city of Armenia, Quindío, will be the epicenter of BMX Freestyle on the continent with the 2025 South American BMX Freestyle Championship, which will take place on November 15 and 16 at the BMX Freestyle track located at the Ancizar López Sports Village, on the west side of the Centenario Stadium.

The event, endorsed by the Pan American Cycling Confederation (COPACI), will bring together the continent’s best riders in the Park and Flatland disciplines, in the Elite men’s and women’s categories. The competition is part of the plan to strengthen and develop qualifying events in the region, with the goal of providing athletes with opportunities for international exposure.

The competition will be governed by the International Cycling Union (UCI) regulations and will be held in the UCI Elite categories in both disciplines, allowing athletes 15 years of age and older to participate.

The official schedule for the South American BMX Freestyle Championship will begin on Wednesday, November 12th and Thursday, November 13th, with accreditation, registration formalization, and official training sessions.

General training sessions and the technical delegates’ meeting will take place on Friday, November 14th, while qualifying sessions will take place in Park and Flatland on Saturday, November 15th. The competitions will conclude on Sunday, November 16th, with the finals of both disciplines, followed by the awards ceremony.

The winners of each discipline will receive medals for first through third place. It is worth noting that in Park, each athlete will have two one-minute passes in the qualifying phase and two in the final. Depending on the number of entries, the qualifying, semifinal, and final will be held.

In the Flatland competition, each athlete will perform a three-minute routine, in which they will be required to perform figures evaluated for their technical level and quality of execution.
