The Colombian Cycling Federation has released its extensive official competition calendar, a schedule that confirms Colombian cycling will be a major player throughout the year, both domestically and on the world stage. From January to December, Colombia will be represented in national championships, world cups, traditional tours, and major multi-sport events.

The schedule kicks off in January with the Ángel Miguel Sanabria Cycling Circuit in Tuta. February will feature the National Road Cycling Championship in Cundinamarca, the first two rounds of the National BMX Racing Cup in Cali, the first National MTB Cup in Calarcá, the Pan American Track Cycling Championships, the Vuelta del Tolima, and the Pan American Paracycling Championships.

In March, cyclists will compete in the Pan American Downhill Championships, the Track Cycling World Cup, the Clásica de Rionegro, the third and fourth rounds of the National BMX Racing Cup in Manizales, the Pan American Road Cycling Championships, the Paracycling Road Cycling World Cup, the second National MTB Cup, the South American Youth Games, and the Vuelta al Valle.

In April, the National Paracycling Road Cycling Cup will be held in Tocancipá, along with the Clásica Ciudad de Anapoima, the first round of the National BMX Freestyle Cup, the first National Track Cycling Round in Bogotá, the Pan American MTB Championships, the Track Cycling World Cup, the fifth and sixth rounds of the National BMX Racing Cup in Bogotá, the traditional Clásica de Fusagasugá, and high-level international events such as the Track Cycling World Cup in Malaysia and the Paracycling Road Cycling World Cup in Belgium.

In May, Bogotá becomes the continental epicenter with the Pan American and South American BMX Racing Championships, while youth road cycling, mountain biking, and paracycling maintain a high level of activity. Internationally, the calendar includes demanding events such as the Giro d’Italia and competitions in Europe.

June is highlighted by the Women’s Tour of Colombia, the National Paracycling Championship, and several national track, BMX, and mountain bike events. Additionally, Colombia will be represented at BMX Racing World Cups in France and the Netherlands, reaffirming its presence among the world elite.

During July, the spotlight is divided between the national track and mountain bike championships, the BMX Racing World Championship in Australia, and major international events such as the Tour de France. Regionally, the Tours of Antioquia and Nariño, as well as the Central American and Caribbean Games, take place.

August brings one of the most anticipated events on the national calendar: the Tour of Colombia, along with the National Gravel Championship and the Mountain Bike World Championship in Italy. High-profile races such as the Tour de l’Avenir and the Vuelta a España are also held, making for a month of intense competition.

The season ends with the fourth quarter of competition.

In September, Colombia hosts traditional classics and several national races, while Colombian cyclists participate in the Road World Championships in Canada, the MTB Marathon World Championships in Italy, and the South American Games in Argentina.

The calendar enters its final stretch in October and November, with multiple world championships in track cycling, BMX, paracycling, and urban cycling in China, the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, and the United States, respectively. Nationally, events such as the Tour de l’Avenir, the Vuelta del Futuro, and various national races stand out, serving as a platform for new generations of cyclists.

Finally, in December, the calendar concludes with the traditional Aguinaldo Fusagasugueño, an emblematic event that brings a year packed with competition to a close.
