The Panamanian Franklin Archibold (Natural Greatness Rally-Ale) was proclaimed champion of the Circuito Montañés 2025 after the second and last stage of 156.4 kilometers around the Spanish municipality of Santillana del Mar.
The current Central American road champion obtained a prestigious victory in European territory, the second of the year, after the one obtained in the Gran Premio Ciudad de Puerto Llumbreras and showed an enviable level of form for the second half of the season.
The podium of the Spanish race was completed by local riders Víctor Castellano (Equipo Gomur) and Pablo Ara Pérez (Telcom-On Clima-Osés), who finished 2nd and 3rd, respectively, while Colombian Andrés Mancipe (Lasal Cocinas-Craega), with a good performance, had to settle for 4th place.
As for the other riders in competition, Juan Pablo Sossa (Lasal Cocinas-Craega) finished 24th, 4:28 behind the Panamanian and Andres Umbarilla (A.R.Ciclismo Oiense-Escuela Estevez) finished 36th, 6:04 behind Archibold.
The Frenchman Aaron Nougue Dessus (Telcom-On Clima-Osés) won the last stage of 156.4 kilometers. Colombian Andres Mancipe (Lasal Cocinas-Craega) was 7th, 11 seconds behind the winner.
