Mexican cyclist Isaac del Toro won the second stage of the Tour of Austria, a 142.1-kilometer, mountain-top finish between the towns of Bischofshofen and St. Johann Alpendorf.

It is Isaac del Toro’s third victory of the 2025 season, following those in the Milano-Torino (a single-day race) and stage 17 of the Giro d’Italia, where, despite not taking the overall victory, he made history as the youngest rider to stand on the Corsa Rosa podium since Fausto Coppi in 1940.

Del Toro (UAE Team Emirates – XRG) capitalized on his power with an attack in the final stretch of the stage to take the victory. Second place went to American Andrew August (Ineos Grenadiers) and third to young Spaniard Héctor Álvarez (Lidl Trek). With this victory, Isaac del Toro now equals the three wins he achieved in 2024 and has now reached six in his professional career.

The Mexican cyclist remains fourth overall, 16 seconds behind teammate Felix Grossschartner. Del Toro also leads the youth classification, is second in the green jersey race for regularity, and fifth in the mountains race.
