Road cycling closed the curtain on the II Junior Pan American Games ASU2025, with the consecration of the ambassadors of Mexico and Argentina in the competition that took place on the asphalt of the Costanera de Asunción.

Bicycles took over the historic center of the Paraguayan capital with the endurance and speed race that showcased the best junior cyclists on the continent. Every episode of the fierce competition was crucial for the competitors, knowing that the details would ultimately be decisive in determining the gold medalists in this discipline.

First, this morning, the women’s race took place where, after more than two hours of pedaling, Argentine Julieta Benedetti won the competition with a time of 2:51:19 and an average of 37 km/h. She was joined on the podium by Ecuadorian Natalie Revelo (silver) and Colombian Natalia Garzón (bronze).

Then, in the men’s event, Mexican José Antonio Prieto took the gold medal after a spectacular race that came down to the smallest details. The winner stopped the clock at 3:18:34 to take first place and the Pan American title. He was followed by Uruguayan Ciro Pérez and Argentine Octavio Salmón; silver and bronze, respectively.

Thus, another competition at the ASU2025 Games concluded; one that attracted a large crowd and provided unforgettable moments for each of them.
