The Cinta Costera 3 will host the fifth and final stage of the 2025 Tour of Panama, the Vicente Carretero Cup, this Saturday. This cycling event maintains Chicano Franklin Archibold as the leader of the individual overall standings.

Archibold, who rides for the Senafront team, finished second in the fourth stage held this Friday in the province of Colón, surpassed in the final sprint by Costa Rican Jason Huertas, of the ManzaTé-La Selva-Scott team.

The 120-kilometer route covered Colón’s Costa Abajo region. Luisa Napolitano, Manager of the Colón Free Zone, signaled the start, taking 2 hours, 50 minutes, and 02 seconds for the route.

Sebastián Brenes, of the Ibero Celta Subregional Team, finished third with the same time, and Panamanian Joel Moreno, of the Caminos de Omar Foundation, finished fourth.

After the final mountain races today on this course, Archibold himself was crowned champion in that category for the second consecutive year, earning 7 points, and leads the regularity category with 59 points.

In the overall standings, Panamanian Archibold has a time of 9 hours, 25 minutes, and 28 seconds after four days of racing. His runners-up are Gabriel Rojas (ManzaTé-La Selva Scott) at 41 seconds, and Colombian-Spaniard Oscar Sevilla (Team Medellín EPM) at 43 seconds.

At the conclusion of the race this Friday in Sherman, Dier Ríos (Rali Giant) remains in the lead in the Junior category with a time of 9 hours, 29 minutes, and 31 seconds, while Michael Caballero (Rali Giant) leads the Under-23 category with a time of 9 hours, 27 minutes, and 06 seconds.

The Master A category is led by Kristian Becerra (ILC Cycling Team) with a time of 9 hours, 33 minutes, and 07 seconds, while Alex Jorge (Guardianes SPI) leads the Master B category with a time of 9 hours, 29 minutes, and 58 seconds.

This Saturday marks the end of the 2025 edition of the Tour of Panama with a closed circuit on Cinta Costera 3 in the capital city, scheduled for 10 laps over 95 kilometers with three intermediate sprints.
