The 23-year-old Colombian, Oscar Garzón (GW Erco Shimano), won the 64th edition of the Tour of Guatemala after ten stages, while Alejandro Osorio was crowned the winner of the final stage on the Periférico Ring Road, held this Sunday, November 2nd.

The young Colombian, from Cundinamarca, took the title after one of the closest battles in recent years, decided only in the penultimate stage, when he snatched the yellow jersey from his compatriot Cristian Muñoz of Nu Colombia.

The final 121.3 kilometers became a celebration for Garzón, who successfully defended his 10-second lead over Carlos Gutiérrez.

The tenth and final stage, held on the traditional Villa Linda circuit on the Periférico Ring Road, was won by Colombian Alejandro Osorio of Orgullo Paisa with a time of 2:39:12.

This Tour covered a total of 1,234.8 kilometers distributed across 10 stages around Guatemalan territory, from Puerto Barrios on the Caribbean coast to Antigua Guatemala, passing through the southern coast and the western highlands.

Óscar Garzón made his mark on Central American cycling history at just 23 years old, becoming one of the youngest cyclists to win the Tour of Guatemala. The rider from Cundinamarca entered the top 10 of the youngest cyclists to achieve this feat in the competition.

Colombian Alejandro Osorio of Orgullo Paisa finished his participation in style by winning the final stage and taking the overall victory in two special classifications. Osorio established himself as the best sprinter of the Vuelta by winning the sprint classification.

Juan Carlos López: King of the Mountains

Juan Carlos López of GW Erco Shimano was crowned King of the Mountains with 46 points accumulated on the most demanding climbs of the Vuelta.

Fredy Toc: The Best Guatemalan

Guatemalan Fredy Orlando Toc of ECA Electricidad Ciclismo finished eighth overall, establishing himself as the best Guatemalan representative in this 64th edition.

Toc delivered memorable performances, especially in the mountain stages where he shone alongside the best climbers in the competition. His second place in the eighth stage behind Rodrigo Contreras and his consistent presence in the main breakaways position him as one of the leading figures in Guatemalan cycling.

GW Erco Shimano: The Best Team

The Colombian team GW Erco Shimano dominated the team classification. The green team demonstrated its depth by placing three cyclists in the top 10: Óscar Garzón (champion), Juan Carlos López (sixth), and Robinson López (seventh).

The 2025 Tour of Guatemala will be remembered as one of the closest and most exciting editions in history.
