Chile will once again become the epicenter of continental cycling. Between February 16 and 22, the Peñalolén Velodrome in Santiago will host the 2026 Pan American Elite Track Cycling Championships, one of the most important tournaments on the American calendar, organized by the Pan American Cycling Confederation (COPACI).

The event will bring together the continent’s best track cyclists, with the participation of around 20 countries, including powerhouses such as the United States, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, and Argentina, in addition to the host country, Chile.

The competition will not only award continental titles and medals but will also grant UCI points, crucial for the international ranking and the qualification process for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.

The championship includes 11 events in total, corresponding to Olympic and high-performance disciplines recognized by the UCI. These include disciplines such as Individual Sprint, Team Sprint, Keirin, and Time Trial, along with demanding middle-distance and endurance events like the Omnium, Madison, Individual Pursuit, Team Pursuit, Points Race, Scratch Race, and Elimination Race.

The event will take place at the modern venue located in Peñalolén, which hosted the 2025 Track Cycling World Championships. Admission will be free for the public on all days of competition. The events will be spread over six days.
