In a final full of emotions, the American Sean Christian (Team Skyline) won the Grand Prix New York 2025. The 23-year-old American cyclist defeated Colombian Brayan Sanchez of Team Medellin-EPM, who had to settle for second place.

The podium of the race was completed by the Danish Kasper Andersen (ASD Swatt Club), who finished third, while in the top 10 the sprinter from Boyaca Jhonatan Guatibonza (Nu Colombia) was sixth, with the same time as the winner.

The UCI U.S. race, which is in its second edition for professionals, had 135.7 kilometers and finished on a short slope of 400 meters at 6.6 percent, which was not an impediment for the fast men to be in the definition.

For Christian it is his first victory in a UCI race. This year the young American rider was fourth in a stage of the Tour de Gila and in three races in Greece his best result was a 27th place.

The riders of the NU Colombia and Team Medellin teams, were animators of the American race, this Sunday, May 18. Álvaro José Hodeg (Team Medellín EPM), current Pan-American Road Champion in Uruguay, did not finish the race.
