The Colombian Cycling Federation presents the official route for the 75th edition of the Tour of Colombia, which will take place from August 1 to 10 and will cover more than 1,822 kilometers across the departments of Casanare, Boyacá, Cundinamarca, Tolima, Quindío, and Valle.
The Colombian round, which has been held uninterruptedly since 1951, will begin in the department of Casanare on Friday, August 1, with a 206-kilometer stage, starting and finishing in Yopal and passing through the municipality of Monterrey, with an ideal finish for sprinters.
The second stage will depart from Yopal, heading to Alto del Porvenir (152.7 km), which will be the first opportunity for climbers to challenge the mountain. The third stage will begin in Aguazul, culminating in Guateque (189.1 km).
The fourth stage will depart from Guateque Main Park (Boyacá), heading to the municipality of Duitama, on a 178.9-kilometer stage.
On Tuesday, August 5, the fifth stage will take place, covering a 150.9-kilometer stage between Duitama and Tocancipá. The sixth stage, the longest of the race, will depart from Mosquera to the iconic Alto de La Línea, one of the most challenging mountain passes in the country (232 km).
The seventh stage will depart from Armenia, heading to Cali (185.2 km), while the eighth stage will depart from the capital of Valle del Cauca, heading to La Tebaida (171.4 km).
The ninth stage will be held on Saturday, August 9, covering 217 kilometers, starting in Alvarado (Tolima) and finishing in Alto del Vino.
The most important stage race on the national calendar will conclude on Sunday, August 10, with a 139-kilometer stage between Sopó and Bogotá, where the new champion of the most important stage race on the national calendar will be announced.
