This Sunday, track cycling competitions officially began at the Lima-Ayacucho 2025 Bolivarian Games, centered in the Peruvian capital, which is hosting the event for the second time in its history, having previously done so in 1947. On the first day, Colombia dominated, winning three gold medals: two in the men’s team sprint and one in the men’s team pursuit. In the women’s event, they secured the silver medal, as the Chilean quartet narrowly won.
With these four medals, Colombia begins its Olympic cycle on a strong footing in one of the disciplines where it traditionally achieves its greatest international success.
The second day of track cycling will continue in Peru this Monday, December 1st, at the VIDENA, a regular venue for major continental cycling events, with the men’s sprint, omnium, women’s keirin, and women’s madison. 2025 Bolivarian Games Results – Track Cycling
