The growth of gravel cycling is unstoppable, and the UCI has decided to capitalize on this golden goose by expanding its Gravel World Series race circuit. Furthermore, these events will receive financial support from a new sponsor: tire manufacturer Panaracer, which will sponsor the UCI Gravel World Series through its GravelKing brand, the name of its range of tires for this discipline.

The 45 events are spread across 32 countries, nine of them in the Americas. The scope of the 2026 UCI Gravel World Series will provide a further boost from cycling’s governing body to this discipline, which, from the passing fad many predicted when it emerged, has become a fully established sport attracting thousands of fans.

Gravel enthusiasts have the opportunity to participate in official races around the world and aspire to secure one of the coveted spots to compete in the World Championships.

The UCI Gravel World Series has seen the removal of a couple of events from the recently concluded season’s calendar. The list now includes no fewer than 14 races, some as attractive as the Vuelta Altas Cumbres, an MTB race held in Argentina that will now have a gravel option; the OG Classique in Canada; and races in unusual locations such as the Baltic republic of Latvia.

The 2026 calendar has already begun, despite being in the final part of 2025, with four races already completed that have awarded the first qualifying spots for the next World Championship, which will take place in Nannup, in Western Australia. In mid-May, Nannup will host one of the UCI Gravel World Series races, serving as a warm-up for the World Championship race on the weekend of October 10-11, 2026.

The Americas will once again take center stage in the UCI Gravel World Series, hosting nine of the events. The first race will be held in Brazil in March. Later that month, there will be action in Argentina. Then, in April, the series moves to the United States, and in May to Bogotá, Colombia. Canada will host one of the races in June, and in August, Colombia will return to Medellín. Mexico, Chile, and the United States will host three more races between August and September.
