The International Cycling Union (UCI) updated its world rankings this week, following the conclusion of the second major of the season, the 2025 Tour de France; and the newly crowned champion of the competition, Slovenian Tadej Pogacar, leads the list by a wide margin.
The ranking, which takes into account results in all UCI races over the past 52 weeks, remains led by Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates), who remains at the top of the world rankings by a wide margin (11,465 points).
The world champion is followed by Denmark’s Mads Pedersen (4,555) and the Dutchman Mathieu van der Poel (4,366), while Mexico’s Isaac del Toro (UAE Team Emirates) moved up three places to move to eleventh place and the highest-ranked rider for the Americas in this ranking.
By nation, the UCI ranking is led by Belgium with 18,552 points, ahead of Slovenia in second place (17,098), Denmark in third place (14,596), Italy in fourth place (13,458), and France in fifth place (13,140). Colombia occupies 16th place with 4,717 points.
Colombian Santiago Buitrago remained the top rider from his country on the list, in 92nd place with 911 points. As for the rest of the Colombian riders, Egan Bernal dropped one place and now occupies 93rd place with 908 points. He is followed by Einer Rubio in 106th place and Harold Tejada in 153rd place.
