Panamanian cyclist Wendy Ducreux won the gold medal this Sunday, October 19th, in the road cycling endurance event at the XII Central American Games Guatemala 2025, which featured nine 10-kilometer laps and a time of 2:50:36 hours.

In this women’s cycling event, the silver medal went to Costa Rican Gloriana Quesada, while Guatemalan Gabriela Soto took the bronze.

Unlucky in the women’s cycling race was junior Noemy Atencio, who fell during the race and was unable to finish the competition.

This is the second gold medal won by Panamanian cyclists. Chiriquí native Franklin Archibold had previously won the gold medal in the time trial, recording a time of 41:26:47 over the 30-kilometer distance.

Over the weekend, various Panamanian sports have shown their quality, winning medals and breaking regional records. This is the case with 24-year-old Tyler Christianson, who won the gold medal in the 100-meter breaststroke, stopping the clock at 1 minute, 4 seconds, and 23 hundredths of a second.
