After a year 2020 marked by the Covid-19 pandemic where the cycling season was extremely affected with the suspension of multiple races due to the necessary measures that states and governments were forced to take in the face of progress and the high level of infections and deaths caused by the terrible virus.
Our continental road circuit, the América Tour, was not immune to this problem and barely managed to carry out five (5) of the fifteen (15) scheduled.
The Continental Tour of the previous season, which ended on November 8, only managed to complete the Tours to Costa Rica in December, to Táchira in January, continued with the 2.1 of Colombia in February, and sealed its route in March with the Grand Prix of Patagonia in Chile, precisely in the southern country, the calendar was interrupted when the traditional Tour of Chiloé began to be played.
At the end of the season, from October 23 to November 1, the 60th edition of the Tour of Guatemala completed the annual program.
Following these results, Team Medellín from Colombia reached the top place in the continental club classification for the second consecutive year, escorted by the U.S.A Rally Cycling and the Mexican Canel’s Pro.

By nations again, Colombia showed its hegemony by widely dominating the ranking, 4287.49 points, much higher than the 2155.16 of Ecuador and the 1534.71 of the U.S.A.
Only 18 of the forty-four (44) member countries of COPACI managed to accumulate points and be present on the list of nations.
The suspension of international races and the non-celebration of many National Championships in our nations conspire enormously with the obtaining of points for them.
