In a final for sprinters, the American Cade Bickmore (Project Echelon Racing) won the first online stage of the International Tour of Guadeloupe 2023 this Saturday, after traveling 120.7 kilometers between Gosier and Baie-Mahault.

The lot controlled the race in the final stretch, stopping attacks and leaving everything to the pack, in which the northern rider took the victory ahead of the Frenchman Lucas Boniface (Vendée U) and the British James Jobber (EuroCyclingTrips).

As for the South Americans competing, two entered the top 10. Ecuadorian Byron Guamá (Movistar Best PC) finished sixth and Colombian Marco Tuilo Suesca (Movistar Best PC) ninth, both with the same time as the winner.

Regarding the general classification, there were important changes. In this way, Cade Bickmore snatched the lead from his teammate Tyler Stytes, who had prevailed in the prologue. Meanwhile, the Colombian Juan Diego Alba (Movistar Best PC) remained in ninth place, 30 seconds behind the winner.
