The double Olympic champion Mariana Pajón, the recent winner of the Tour of Colombia, Miguel Ángel López, and the winners in World Cups, Martha Bayona and Kevin Quintero, lead the Colombian cycling delegation that attends the Central American and Caribbean Games San Savior 2023.

The claim of this powerful squad is to win the four modalities that are scheduled, in a strong conflict with Mexico, as happened four years ago in the fight of Barranquilla 20218. Track cycling is the first to be held (June 28 to 2 July), then it will be the route (July 5 and 7), then the BMX (July 7) and finally the MTB (July 8).

Mariana Pajón will be the great figure of this sport, in its BMX Racing modality, in which she will be accompanied by Gabriela Bolle, while in the case of men the representatives will be the experienced and world laureates Diego Arboleda and Carlos Ramírez.

In the route modality, those selected, in addition to the well-known Supermán López, will be Walter Alejandro Vargas, Brayan Sánchez and Nelson Andrés Soto. As for the ladies, Serika Guluma, Diana Carolina Peñuela and Lina Mabel Rojas will participate.

For the track modality, Kevin Santiago Quintero and Martha Bayona head the list. Likewise, Andrea Alzate, Valeria Cardozo, Elizabeth Castaño, Mariana Herrera, Yarli Mosquera, Marianis Salazar Sánchez, Juan Esteban Arango, Carlos Daniel Echeverri, Juan David Ochoa, Cristian David Ortega and Jordan Parra will be present.

Regarding the Mountain Bike discipline, the representatives will be Jhonnatan Botero, Nelson Duvan Peña, Gloria Garzón and Ana María Roa.

In the last version of Barranquilla 2018, Mexico dominated the track (8-5-3), followed by Cuba (4-3-1) and Trinidad and Tobago (3-0-5), while Colombia was fourth (2- 8-7).

For its part, BMX and the route remained in the hands of the Colombian beetles, while Mexico conquered the two gold medals in Mountain Bike.
