On the last day of the Rio 2024 Paracycling World Championships, the Colombian Carolina Munévar took third place in the omnium in the C2 Ladies category and thus won her second bronze medal in the event and the third for her country, the best of America in this universal competition.
The girl from Boyaca, who on the first day of competitions won the bronze medal in the individual pursuit of the C2 category, also reached the final of the 500 meters time trial, where she placed fifth.
The Colombian delegation won three medals (one silver and two bronze) in a competition held at the Olympic Velodrome in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, since March 22.
The Colombian team, which was competing with ten athletes in total, closed its participation in Rio de Janeiro in the World Track Paracycling Championships, with the presence in the elimination races.
The three Colombian medals in the Rio 2024 Track Paracycling World Championship were the following:
Carolina Munévar bronze in the individual pursuit 3,000 meters, C2 on the first day.
Paula Caballero from Antioquia won the silver medal in the women’s scratch.
Carolina Munévar, from Boyaca, took third place in the omnium in the C2 category.
