Just a year from now, one day after the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games is held, cycling will open the fire of the competitions with the dispute of time trials in the road modality.

The XCO, BMX and road races for both sexes will follow over the next few days, with the star events of the Olympic program remaining for the end, which will take place on the wood of the Saint Quentin en Yvelines velodrome.

It is almost a tradition that cycling is played in the early stages of each Olympic event. In Paris 2024 this trend will continue, starting the competitions after the opening ceremony, ignoring those that will have started their development a few days before, just a couple of matches of the football, handball and rugby tournament as can be seen in the calendar that the organization of the French appointment has just been made public.

On Saturday, July 27, the cycling events will begin with the individual time trial on a totally flat course that starts and ends in the heart of the city and that, like the layout of the men’s and women’s road events, which will have place on August 3 and 4 respectively, were presented a few weeks ago to coincide with one of the rest days of the Tour de France.

The time trials will give way, on July 28 and 29, to the XCO mountain bike races, undoubtedly another of the most anticipated events for cycling lovers that will continue with the spectacular BMX competitions, either with the incredible tricks that the riders will show us in the Freestyle events on August 30 and 31, as well as the circuit races that will take place on August 1 and 2.

However, the star moment of any Olympic event in terms of cycling is the track events that will take place at the fabulous Saint Quentin en Yvelines velodrome. Some tests that will take place between August 5 and 11.

     Individual time trial – Saturday, July 27 from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

     Mountain Bike XCO (female) – Sunday 28 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

     Mountain Bike XCO (men) – Monday, July 29 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

     BMX Freestyle (qualifiers) – Tuesday 30 from 13:25 to 16:30

     BMX Freestyle (finals) – Wednesday, July 31 from 1:10 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

     BMX Racing (qualifiers) – Thursday, August 1 from 8:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

     BMX Racing (finals) – Friday, August 2 from 8:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

     Route (male) – Saturday, August 1 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:15 p.m.

     Route (female) – Sunday, August 2 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.

     Track – Monday August 5 to August 11
