There will be eight rounds of the BMX World Cup that will be held throughout 2022. The first four stops will bring the best of this discipline to the old continent, whose venues will be distributed between Glasgow, Scotland and Papendal, Holland.

Thinking about the first international appointments as the Colombia team, the national coach, Germán Medina, announced the coffee list that will travel to Europe to represent the country in the stops that will take place on May 28 and 29 (Glasgow) and May 11 and June 12 (Papendal).

In the women’s elite, the selected one was Mariana Pajón (champion of the 2021 world individual ranking and champion of the 2021 World Cup Tournament), while in men four pilots will wear the tricolor, led by Diego Arboleda (champion of the seventh valid World Cup and runner-up of the valid eighth of the World Cup).

Completing the men’s list are Vincent Pelluard (runner-up in the valid seventh World Cup and finalist in the fifth, sixth and eighth valid World Cup), Mateo Carmona (finalist in the fifth and seventh valid World Cup) and Carlos Ramírez (Champion of the valid sixth of the World Cup and World Cup Tournament runner-up).

Added to this group is Manuela Martínez, a runner who will compete in the under 23 category (runner-up at the Cali 2021 Junior Pan American Games).

The Colombian delegation will be accompanied by the physiotherapist Óscar Córdoba, the mechanic Leonardo Pérez and the doctor Karen Cifuentes.
