The Teo Capriles velodrome has been remodeled to host the 2023 Alba Games of Venezuela. This space, which will house the disciplines of cycling and skating, passed the tests and is in optimal condition for the event that will take place from 21 to 29 of April.

The Minister for Youth and Sports of Venezuela, Mervin Maldonado, mentioned the new accommodation areas for athletes, which are integrated into the velodrome and are 95% complete.

“Works are love, we are very grateful to the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, for this investment of resources that is being made within the framework of these Games, for the strengthening of the sports infrastructure, accommodation, dining rooms, of all this dynamic that allows it to give impetus, resuming these Games after 12 years”, he commented.

The works were supervised by the transport minister, Ramón Velásquez Araguayan, and the executive secretary of Alba, Félix Plascencia.

CYCLING ALSO IN LA GUAIRA

The road cycling will take place on Avenida José María España, in the state of La Guaira, with the participation of Cuba, Dominica and Nicaragua.

The discipline will have as an outcome date next Sunday, April 23. This sport will also have actions in BMX freestyle and mountain biking, which will take place in La Fragua (Miranda state).
