Something that rarely happens in sport was experienced this Thursday in the Caribbean Youth Road Championship, when the same four winners of the time trial prevailed on the route outlined, hence Bermuda and the Dominican Republic once again celebrated beautifully in the awards podium.

In the junior women’s category, Bermudian Miller Anabelle covered the scheduled stretch faster than anyone else, followed only five minutes later by silver medalist Channelle Russell of Jamaica; while a local cyclist, Rosselle Ogando finished with a well-suffering bronze.

Another repeat winner among the winners was Charlotte Millintong, from Bermuda, in the pre-juvenile category, in which she only won up to the silver medal with the Jamaican Russell Melaika.

Among the men, the dominance was complete for the locals from Quisqueyan, with the names of Rodrigo Alonso in the pre-juvenile category and Nahuel Cruz in the youth category, both over a 90-kilometer route.

After these results, the Dominican Republic won the Youth Road Championship by a difference of just two silvers; while Bermuda finished with the second seat by country.
