HONG KONG, CHINA. Germany and the Netherlands took off with gold medals on the third date of the Cycling World Cup that takes place in the Chinese city of Hong Kong, which distributes points for the World Championship in Berlin.

The men’s and women’s teams in Germany took gold metals in the team chase and speed tests together, respectively; while Holland, current monarchs of the world, won gold in manly speed.

While the locals Sarah Lee Wai Sze, who will look for her third gold metal in the serial, as well as Jessica Lee Hoi Yan and Lee Yin Yin will go on the individual speed test, in which the Mexican Daniela Gaxiola will take action, which should reach the quarter-final stage for sum of world points.

The International Cycling Union (UCI) has scheduled six stages of the World Cup that offer Olympic points to runners for Tokyo 2020.

The opening of the season took place in Minsk, Belarus, from November 1 to 3; then continued in Glasgow, United Kingdom (November 8-10); Hong Kong, China (November 29 to December 1).

The fourth station is scheduled in Cambridge, New Zealand (December 6 to 8); Brisbane, Australia (December 13 to 15), and Milton, Canada (January 24 to 26, 2020). (Notimex)
