Just hours before the start of the I Junior Pan American Games, cycling steals headlines with the announcement of the competition program at the Alcides Nieto Patiño velodrome, where 12 titles will be distributed from November 26 to 29, for which 98 riders out of 14 will choose nations, list of registrations that is confirmed this Thursday at the Technical Meeting of the event.

For the first date of Friday 26, the crowns in dispute will be focused on team speed for both sexes and omnium for men, while the classification of the team pursuit (f) will also be developed, which will deliver its medals to the next day.

On Saturday 27 the program also includes the delivery of the gold in the keirin for women, as well as the different rounds of the men’s individual speed, a modality that will be awarded on Sunday next to the women’s omnium.

With five delivery of medal games, the track cycling program closes on Monday 29: the madison (fym), the team pursuit and the men’s keirin, while it will also be known who is the fastest woman in the Games in speed.

From this Wednesday the riders are already training in the beautiful velodrome of this city, the venue of not a few international events in recent years and endorsed by the International Cycling Union (UCI) for these jousts.

Argentina, Colombia and Mexico with complete teams (14), Chile with 12, Brazil and Ecuador (8), Cuba, Venezuela and Uruguay (5) are the most numerous rosters, while Trinidad and Tobago and Peru (4), and Guatemala (3), Barbados (1) and Costa Rica (1) close the list of nations classified for track cycling.
