The Costa Rican Jason Huertas from Colono Bikestation Clips won this Saturday with a time of 2:52:36 the second stage of the Tour of Costa Rica Telecable 2022, which remained led in the general classification by his compatriot from the same team Daniel Bonilla.

The native of Zarcero imposed conditions and after the third flying goal he starred in a solo escape, in which he left behind runners such as Manuel Larios, Wilson Haro and Norberto Hernández, who accompanied him for much of the journey.

In a relatively flat segment, the 24-year-old Costa Rican cyclist crossed the line of judgment ahead of the Ecuadorian Byron Guamá (Movistar-Best PC) while for the third place on the podium was the Panamanian Franklin Archibold (Panama is Culture and Values )

“We had been disputing the flying goals, at last I thought that if yesterday there were 130 kilometers, today I could escape 25 more and we closed hard,” Huertas told the website of the Costa Rican Cycling Federation.

Regarding the general classification, the cyclist Daniel Bonilla held the first position for the second consecutive day with an accumulated time of 7:42:08. Behind him are Erasmo Archibold (Panama is Culture and Values) and the Colombian Mario Tulio Uesca (MOVISTAR BEST PC of ECUADOR).

For its part, the under 23 category continues to be led by the National Team cyclist, Gabriel Rojas; while Jason Huertas himself leads the points classification (50) and flying goals with 21 units.

This Sunday the stage will leave Nicoya at 8 in the morning heading to Puntarenas with a distance of 125.83 kilometers in total.
