The national XCO cyclist Martín Vidaurre (Subaru athlete) and the Chilean road cyclist Aranza Villalón were recognized as the best of the season, along with Cristian Arriagada and Felipe Peñaloza (track) at the awards given by the Circle of Sports Journalists (CPD ).
The ceremony, which dates back to 1951, was held this Friday at the CorpArtes Theater in Las Condes, where the Circle of Sports Journalists presented the “Golden Condor” award to the best of the season and recognition for the 62 sports disciplines national.
Vidaurre received the award in the “Cycling other modalities” category after his outstanding 2022 in which he won the two-time UCI U23 World Cup XCO championship.
For his part, Villalón won the prize in the “Road Cycling” category after his great year, standing out in different competitions with his Eneicat – RBH Global team, in addition to representing Chile with podiums in the Bolivarian games, added to his recent national record. in individual pursuit.
Those who were also awarded in cycling are Cristian Arriagada and Felipe Peñaloza with the recognition in “Track Cycling”. Both had a good season and contributed with medals in the Bolivarian Games.
