Martín Vidaurre continues to consolidate his dominance in the U23 category of the Mountain Bike World Cup, by taking first place on the fourth date held in Leogang, Austria, this being his fourth win in the four dates held so far it’s from the season.

Vidaurre emerged as the best of the day in the Under 23 category with a time of 1 hour, 6 minutes and 54 seconds, beating the Italian Simone Avondetto by 0.19 hundredths. The podium was closed by another Italian: Filippo Fontana.

In the same category, Ignacio Gallo finished in 74th place in the general classification, while Catalina Vudaurre was in 44th place in the U23 women category.

Vidaurre, who is part of the Lexware Mountainbike Team from Germany, managed to establish himself as the leader of the general classification, thanks to the fact that he has won the four dates that have taken place.

The 22-year-old athlete has already won the tests held in Petrópolis (Brazil), Nove Mesto (Czech Republic) and Albsdat (Germany), in addition to the one he has just won in Austria.

The next date of the Mountain Bike World Cup will be held between July 8 and 10 in the Swiss town of Lenzerheide, where Vidaurre hopes to continue adding victories to his track record.
