National champions Yareli Salazar and Eder Frayre lead the Mexican team to the World Road Cycling Championships, which will take place from 19 to 26 this month in Flanders, Belgium, where the best specialists in this modality are expected to attend.

The Mexican team is completed by Mariela Flores, Nicole Guerra and Daniela Lozano, César Macías, Matías Sánchez, André Cruz and Isac del Toro, all of them in the youth category; while in the sub-23 our representative will be Jorge Peyrot.

Some of our athletes are already in the old continent and others are reaching them to be all gathered this weekend, when the time trials will start.

According to the joust program, the competition will continue with the relays and for next weekend, from 24 to 26, the long-distance tests are planned. This contest will celebrate the Centenary of the World Road Championships.

So far, the fair has confirmed cyclists from 84 nations such as Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Denmark, Spain, France, Great Britain, Germany, Greece, among others.
