With the first practices on the track of the Pan American Sports Complex of the Costa Verde, the more than 300 cyclists from 10 countries are ready for the Pan American and South American BMX Racing, scheduled for this weekend (November 13 and 14) in Lima Peru.

This championship, organized by the Peruvian National Cycling Federation (FDPC), has the support of the Peruvian Sports Institute (IPD) and the Pan-American Cycling Confederation (COPACI), it will bring together the CC and C1 competitions, valid for personal scores of each athlete before the International Cycling Union (UCI).

In addition to the Peruvian delegation, the largest of all, the delegates from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, the United States, Guatemala and Venezuela are already training.

Among the athletes who will participate in this Pan-American Championship, the presence of national athletes of the Elite category José Mamani, Micaela Ramírez and Rodrigo Santa Maria, as well as those of the junior category Carlos Castillo and Kingman Koochoy; while the three-time Olympic medalist, the Colombian Mariana Pajón, continues to raise all the spotlights.

This event will serve as a preparation for the I Pan American Junior Games Cali 2021, where the athletes Micaela Ramírez and Kingman Koochoy will represent Peru for the BMX Racing modality.

“The realization of this event has been planned since 2019, which was when Peru obtained the international date for 2020, but due to pandemic issues it could not be carried out. This year we have prepared a great event so that you can enjoy a quality competition and have, as always, the best welcome to our country. We will always be happy to count on the participation of our cycling brothers ”, said the president of the FDPC, Gustavo Matus de la Parra.
