BOGOTÁ. Born in the department of Antioquia but formed cyclically in Risaralda, Natalia Muñoz (Pedalea Flowerpack) won this Thursday during the third stage of the Tour of Colombia Women UCI 2.2 that left Manizales and ended in Anserma after 124 kilometers of travel.

The day was very moving. In the first kilometers the Bogota-born Lina Rojas (Evolution of the Andean Area Fem) was on the run, who got to have up to 40 seconds on the platoon that the leader’s team was pulling, Daniela Atehortúa (Avinal GW El Carmen). In the ascent to the municipality of Caldas, the experienced cyclist Rocío Parra (CM Benros) was released from the squad and with great power was imposed with 1’20 ”on the lot.

Then, when there were 10 kilometers left to finish, Lina Rojas attacked again and left alone, but in the last three kilometers when the ascent became more demanding, it was reached and surpassed by the Risaraldense Natalia Muñoz, champion of National Road Games in 2014, arriving alone at the goal located in the main park of Anserma with a time of three hours, 42 minutes and 39 seconds.

Chile’s Aranza Villalón (Avinal GW El Carmen) arrived in second place in two seconds, as did Camila Valbuena (Evolution Fem Andean Area Cycling League), while Daniela Atehortúa was fourth and Jennifer Medellín (Evolution Andean Area Fem) the Top 5.

The general classification follows the command of the Antioquia Daniela Atehortúa (Avinal) with a time of 10 hours, 44 minutes, the escort Natalia Muñoz at six seconds and third place goes to Aranza Villaón at nine seconds.

This Friday will be the time trial from La Virginia (Risaralda) to Viterbo (Caldas) with a total of 22.8 kilometers. (Cycling federation)
