Natalia Pardo from the Colombia Tierra de Atletas team and Alexander Gil, from EPM Ciclismo, prevailed this Friday, October 9, in the second stage of the Tour of Tolima, in the women’s and men’s branches, respectively.

Pardo crossed the finish line in the first place of a fraction that had a 44-kilometer route starting in Lleida and ending in Lebanon.

The winner of the day also took first place in the mountain classification, while Andrea Álzate, from the Colnago CM Team, remained the leader of the general classification.

This Saturday the third stage of the Vuelta al Tolima will take place, which will have a total route of 45 kilometers starting in Armero and ending in Fresno.

On the other hand, Alexander Gil, from the EPM Continental Cycling Team, prevailed in the second fraction of the men’s category by successfully completing a breakaway that began in the ascent to Alto de la Virgen and that allowed him to impose 19 seconds of differences on the second of the day, Aldemar Reyes. Precisely Reyes, from the same team as Gil, kept the first place in the general classification.

The third stage, the queen of the competition, of the men’s branch in the Vuelta al Tolima will have a 180-kilometer route starting in Mariquita and ending in Fresno.
