Almost 300 cyclists participated this Sunday, September 3, in the I Date FECOCI 2023, a road cycling event that aims to give kilometers and competition to the national teams and their riders with a view to the events that remain on the calendar, especially the Tour of Costa Rica Telecable 2023 both female and male.
The event had a 125-kilometer route between the Río Frío Crossing on Route 32 and Santa Clara de San Carlos, as planned according to the event schedule, announced more than a month ago by the Costa Rican Cycling Federation.
The winners in the elite category were Gabriel Marín from GM Cycling and María Sánchez from CBZ BYA Cape, while in sub 23 the winners were Gabriel Pacheco from Colono Bikestation Clips and Diandra Ramírez CBZ BYA Cape.
At the master level the best were Jose Mora and María Amalia Solís from Team Innovabikes, also in youth the victory went to Luis Landaverde from Distribuidora Cruz – CCDR Pococí and Sofía Quirós from Asfaltos CBZ.
The second FECOCI Date will be on November 5 with a route between Orotina – Quepos – Dominical. Registration will be enabled at the respective time and will be completely free.
