The 25 de Mayo square was the concentration point for the whole world the Tour of San Juan; caravan composed by cyclists, mechanics, companions, journalists, authorities of the race. All under the sun that then began to be covered by some generous clouds that took pity on those present, without forgetting the cycling fans who came to accompany and encourage.
With 35º of temperature, at 16:05 the controlled train started at 16:05 and at 16:11 it started from Mendoza Street and Circunvalación Avenue towards the south of the province.
The first special pass was in homage to Nicolás Naranjo at km 11.4 and went to Julián Díaz (Metales Concepción).
On the way to Media Agua it was time for the first mountain finish on Route 40, at the height of El Cerrillo at km 36.9 where Nicolás Tivani (Municipalidad Pocito) won the pack, escorted by Kevin Castro (Metales Concepción) and Hugo Velázquez (F E Saldaño – Team Jácamo).
With the peloton compact, controlling some escape attempts, the second special pass was reached in Puente de Cochagual, Sarmiento. They had covered 57.1 km and there Agustín Videla (SEP) won.
On the way back, at the height of La Plata street, four cyclists established a gap of 1m01s with the majority peloton: the Chileans Héctor Quintana and Tomás Quirós together with Leandro Velardez and Lorenzo Díaz. The breakaway ended in San Martín, being neutralized and leaving 24 riders at the front.
In Rawson Street in front of Bodega Peñaflor, San Martín, with 94.3 km covered, the first sprint finish took place. Leandro Velardez was the winner, adding the first points; 2nd was Tomás Quirós; 3rd Héctor Quintana.
At kilometer 111.4; at Nacional and Santa María de Oro streets, Angaco, the second Sprint Goal was disputed, which was in the hands of Rubén Ramos (Chimbas Te Quiero), escorted by Francisco Kotsakis (Plius Performance – Solutos) and Abraham Paredes (Municipalidad Pocito).
The last emotion before the definition of the stage came with the third special pass, in front of the Parque Latinoamericano de Albardón, with 122.6 kilometers traveled, which was for Ángel Oropel (Chimbas Te Quiero).
The final part of the first stage was with fifteen men to enter the San Juan Villicum Circuit in the lead, with Nicolás Tivani taking the victory, leaving Ángel Oropel second in the final sprint.

The second stage will have concentration at 3 pm in front of Plaza de Media Agua, Sarmiento and the start will be at 4 pm and will pass through Pocito, Rawson, Capital, Rivadavia, Santa Lucia, ending in front of Plaza de Media Agua.
