With nine podiums, including a pair of titles, divided between Canada, United States, Mexico and Trinidad and Tobago, concluded the performance of the cyclists of our continent in the UCI Nations Cup, held this weekend in Milton, Canada, where the last points for the Olympic ranking of track cycling were distributed.
The titles went to the Canadian Dylan Bibic in the elimination race and the American Jennifer Valente in the same race; while the Mexican women’s team finished with silver medals in the team sprint. The other six medals were bronze medals, among which the third places of Trinidad and Tobago’s Paul Nicholas and Mexico’s Luz Daniela Gaxola in the pure sprint stood out.
Great Britain, with five crowns, one silver and two bronzes, led the medals table by countries, escorted by the Netherlands with 4-3-0. The other nations that were able to caress gold medals were Belgium in the Madison (m), New Zealand in the keirin (f) and France in the sprint (f).
