Robigson Oyola maintained the hegemony of Team Medellín-EPM in the 2023 edition of the Tour of Panama by winning the fourth stage solo on Tuesday; while his teammate Oscar Sevilla regained the red Rali jersey as leader of the individual general classification.

The Costa Abajo in the province of Colón, was the scene of this journey that took place over 92 kilometers, starting at the historic Fort Sherman and arriving at the town of Miguel De La Borda; Oyola recording a time of 2 hours 03 minutes and 01 seconds.

The Caribbean waves received Chirican Franklin Archibold (Panama is Culture and Values) in second position of the day, who entered the finish line at 18 seconds, arriving the chase group 43 seconds behind led by Sebastián Brenes (Seven Card-Economy-Lacoinex ) and where the Spanish Oscar Sevilla came from.

A total of 17 runners assembled at the front of the race, 25 kilometers from the start, a route that Tuesday that also passed through the Atlantic Bridge on Colonense soil, among them Carlos Samudio (Rali Giant) from Chiricano who climbed to the second position of the general.

“It was a victory for the team, in the last six kilometers we decided to launch ourselves to look for the victory and thank God we achieved it. We continue fighting for the title with two stages to go,” said Oyola, who in 2014 was champion of the International Tour of Chiriquí.

Oscar Sevilla, who had been the second leader of this test international in Panamanian territory he turns to wear red accumulating in the general 6 hours 56 minutes and 13 seconds, escorted by the canalero Carlos Samudio at 34 seconds and Wilmar Parades is third ascends to the third box.

The fifth stage will take place this Wednesday again in the province of Colón and will have 102 kilometers, starting at Fuerte Sherman and will go through towns in Costa Abajo such as Puente Chagres, Batería 35, Escobal, Cuipo, Escobal, Batería 35, Puente Chagres, Puente Atlántico , Nuevo Bolívar, Atlantic Bridge and Sherman.

Two Intermediate Sprints will be held at kilometers 27.2 (Battery 35) and 66.3 (Battery 35), as well as a third category mountain prize at kilometer 91 (Puente del Atlántico).
