With the titles in all modalities, Puerto Rico won the XCO Caribbean Championship, held this weekend in a hard circuit that had a seat in Salinas, in the Puerto Rican land itself, where the heat did its thing, but could not prevent the triumphs of Jacob Morales and Suheily Rodríguez, in the elite category.

According to the few reports of the event, Jacob did not present any complications to win the gold medal, escorted by his countrymen Pedro Rivera and José Vélez; while Suheily surpassed Vanessa Mora and the third place was deserted.

The contest also grouped the youth categories and the 15-16 year old category in which almost all the podiums were shared by the Puerto Ricans themselves, with the exception of the Dominican Randy Bencosme, bronze among the youngest, behind Yandel de Jesús and Yetxiel Ruiz, gold and silver, respectively. Among the ladies, Daliana Colón surpassed Dayna Lee for the title

Between the juveniles Maite Catala and Darren Colon came out monarchs. In the case of her without more rivals; while Ángel Manuel Rodríguez and Carlos Marrero seconded, in this order, their partner on the podium.

The 2023 XCO Caribbean Championship reserves points for the continental ranking and once again demonstrates the strength of this modality in a nation like Puerto Rico, which has hosted several tournaments at the Pan-American and world level.
