Registration for the 2026 UCI CRC 506 Gran Fondo Costa Rica is now open on the official website www.crc-506.com, for a new edition of one of the country’s most important road cycling competitions, which will take place on Sunday, June 7, 2026.
The race will once again take participants along the Jacó – Quepos – Jacó route, a course renowned for both its scenic beauty and the sporting challenge it presents to national and international cyclists.
The competition is part of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) calendar and is sanctioned by the Costa Rican Cycling Federation. Furthermore, it is part of the UCI Gran Fondo World Series’ “Cycling for All” program, solidifying its position as a high-level event in the region.
The 2026 edition will feature two official distances: Gran Fondo (141.4 kilometers) and Medio Fondo (69.8 kilometers). The race will qualify the top 25% of cyclists in each age category for the UCI Gran Fondo Road World Championships, to be held from August 26 to 30, 2026, in Niseko, Japan.
The logistical plan includes staggered starts to ensure a safe and organized experience: Gran Fondo: 6:00 a.m. start from the Garabito Civic Center for Peace (neutralized for the first 2 km on Route 34). Medio Fondo: 7:30 a.m. start from Quepos Park, on Route 34. Both distances will finish at the Garabito Civic Center for Peace.
In its fourth edition, the UCI CRC 506 Gran Fondo Costa Rica 2026 promises to bring together cyclists of all ages and skill levels for an experience that combines physical challenge, top-notch organization, and the opportunity to compete under international standards.
The race will take place on June 7th on the Jacó–Quepos–Jacó route and will qualify 25% of riders in each category for the UCI World Championships in Niseko.
