Seven Olympic medalists have been confirmed today by the UCI Track Champions League as participants in the next edition of the competition, which will be held over five qualifying races in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (November 23), Apeldoorn (November 29 and 30) and London (December 6 and 7).

They are the Dutch Hetty van de Wouw, silver in keirin, the Polish Daria Pikulik, silver in omnium, the British Jack Carlin, bronze in sprint, the Australian Matthew Glaetzer, bronze in keirin, the French Benjamin Thomas, the Portuguese Iúri Leitão, and the Belgian Fabio van den Bossche, all three members of the Olympic omnium podium.

The organization had already confirmed Ellesse Andrews (New Zealand), Harrie Lavreysen (Netherlands), Dylan Bibic (Canada) and Katie Archibald (United Kingdom) automatically classified as winners of the last edition, as well as seven other riders by the results obtained according to the new classification system: sprinters Nicholas Paul (Trinidad and Tobago), Martha Bayona (Colombia), Luz Daniela Gaxiola (Mexico), Emma Finucane (Great Britain) and Matthew Richardson (now Great Britain) and distance runners Anita Yvonne Stenberg (Norway) and Eiya Hashimoto (Japan).

Finally, it has been reported that 21 other pisteros have qualified thanks to their performances at the 2024 Nations Cup in Adelaide, Hong Kong and Milton, although only the names of French sprinter Mathilde Gros and Italian long-distance runner Elia Viviani have been unveiled.

The next major opportunity for direct qualification will be the World Championships, to be held in Ballerup (Denmark) from October 16 to 20, in order to determine the 72 participants, 18 men and 18 women in each group, long-distance and sprint.
