The UCI Mountain Bike World Championships 2025 will be a historic event, as for the first time the Swiss canton of Valais will gather the World Cup of seven disciplines in a single region. It will take place from August 30 to September 14, 2025 and we already know the calendar and some interesting details.
Calendar and News
The organization has chosen the canton of Valais, with its iconic alpine landscapes and legendary routes, to celebrate this mega-event and to highlight the diversity of MTB, from the most technical trails for Enduro to a fast track for Short Track.
The official program of the World Championships has been known a few days ago and in its final information we have discovered an important change of location. The E-MTB events, which were initially planned in Leukerbad, will finally be held in Aletsch Arena/Bellwald. A very popular destination for its stunning alpine scenery and where the Enduro and E-Enduro events will also take place.
It is also noteworthy that the Short Track World Cup and the XCO World Cup have been separated by location. The XCC will be held in Zermatt, under the mythical Matterhorn, while the XCO race will be held 3 days later in Crans Montana, about 70 km away.
The event will be spread over 2 weeks, 15 days, and will start on the weekend of August 30-31 with a World Cup opening in Sion full of activities for the public. And the World Cup will close on the weekend of September 13-14 with one of the highlights of the program, the XCO World Championships in Crans Montana.
