The Colombian Cycling Federation officially presented the route for the 2026 Women’s Tour of Colombia Sistecrédito, an edition that will combine challenging mountain stages, strategic stages, and a decisive individual time trial to crown the new champion of the race in its eleventh edition.

From June 2nd to 7th, the peloton will cover more than 600 kilometers through six stages that will cross Cundinamarca, Tolima, Quindío, and Risaralda, with summit finishes and iconic mountain passes that will test the endurance, tactics, and climbing ability of the best cyclists in the country and the participating international teams.

The race will open with a demanding stage in Cundinamarca, featuring two ascents of the Alto del Sisga. The stage starts in a controlled manner from Chía, continues to Villapinzón, and then returns to finish in Tocancipá. The undulating and accumulating route will reward consistency and culminate in a sprint finish.

The second stage will maintain the focus on the mountains with two traditional climbs: the Alto del Vino and the challenging Alto del Trigo, before the arrival in Guaduas. This will be a key day for the contenders for the overall title, on a route that favors long-range attacks and offensive strategies.

The third stage, between Honda and Girardot, will have a more rolling profile, offering opportunities for the fastest riders and for teams interested in controlling the race. However, the accumulated fatigue could create space for strategic breakaways on the way to Girardot.

The queen stage will culminate at the legendary Alto de La Línea, one of the most iconic climbs in Colombian cycling, which will host the elite and Under-23 women’s peloton for only the second time in history. The final ascent, after passing through Cajamarca, will be decisive for the general classification and will create significant gaps between the favorites.

The peloton will continue through the Coffee Region on the fifth stage, a hilly day that includes the Alto del Roble and a technical section before arriving in Santuario. This stage could generate tactical changes in the lead-up to the final time trial.

The Vuelta will be decided with a demanding 30-kilometer individual time trial between Ingenio Risaralda (near La Virginia) and Apía. This time trial will require power, effort management, and technical precision, ideal for consolidating or overcoming differences in the general classification.

The 2026 Vuelta a Colombia Femenina Sistecrédito features a balanced route, with significant mountain stages and a final time trial that guarantees excitement until the very last kilometer. The combination of historic climbs and strategic locations reaffirms the commitment to strengthening and promoting Colombian women’s cycling on the national calendar.
