On Tuesday afternoon the sixth edition of the Gran Fondo Nairo Quintana was officially presented, a race in which the great protagonist is the Movistar Team rider, who already invites all Colombians to run it.
It is necessary to say that this Gran Fondo will be held between June 28 and 30, 2024 and beyond opening the roads for cyclists of the country, it becomes a sporting event that is integrated into the Heart of Colombia Sports Calendar, which was presented by Juan Miguel Galvis, governor of Quindío, Carlos Fabio Álvarez, Secretary of Tourism, Industry and Commerce.
For this edition, the route is scheduled to pass through different municipalities of this region: Salento, La Tebaida, Montenegro, Quimbaya, Filandia and Circasia.
In this calendar, named above, there are more than 15 sporting events that include various disciplines, but undoubtedly one of the most striking is the Gran Fondo of the cyclist from Boyaca, who has already organized this race on several occasions.
So, now it only remains to know if there will be modifications in the route and what will be the complete itinerary of this sporting event, which has been enjoyed by several cycling fans.
Nairo is currently in Colombia recovering from a serious injury he suffered a few weeks ago and is expected to be ready to race the Giro d’Italia.
