The International Cycling Union (UCI) confirmed how the licenses were distributed for the following season, ratifying the promotion to the highest professional cycling category of the Arkéa Samsic and Alpecin-Deceuninck teams.

The highest governing body of world cycling made official the final list of teams that have obtained a WorldTeam, ProTeam or Women’s World Team license for the period between 2023 and 2025.

A total of 51 teams make up these three groups, which as of January 1, 2023 will have notable absences and novelties with respect to the recently ended 2022 campaign.

In the ProTeam category, the Lotto-Dstny and Israel-Premier will debut, while the B&B Hotels will disappear from cycling and the Drone Hopper will run under another name in the continental category.

Regarding the female branch, there was an increase in the number of teams for the highest division. 15 will be the teams that will be part of the World Tour category. The Fenix-Deceuninck earned that additional license after meeting all the required criteria.
