The 2023 edition of the Vuelta al Táchira will have the participation of the ladies with the celebration of the First Women’s Classic, which will be taking place in the traditional circuit of Avenidas España and 19 de Abril, known as “Santos Rafael Bermúdez” and that It will run prior to the start of the eighth and final stage (January 22) of the “Great of America”.

The organizers of the 58th edition of the Vuelta al Táchira demonstrate that sport has no sexual preference and with this initiative they mark an important milestone in the history of the tour that will now be able to recognize national and international cyclists who participate in the great classic.

The organizing committee of the Vuelta al Táchira announced that this is only a first step. “With this participation of the ladies in the Vuelta al Táchira, the first step is taken to design and specify the possibility of a women’s Vuelta al Táchira,” was part of the committee’s press release.

For now, the fifty-eighth edition of the Vuelta al Táchira is scheduled to begin on January 15, 2023. For this great event of Venezuelan cycling, the registration of at least 160 national and international cyclists is stipulated.
