The Organizing Committee of the World Junior Track Cycling Championship in Cali 2023 confirmed this week that there are already 28 flags that are ready to be raised at the Alcides Nieto Patiño velodrome, where the event will be held from August 23 to 27.

That number of flags corresponds so far to the number of countries that have already reserved a place to attend the maximum speed event with their new generation of trackers, in which we will see the promises of this modality.

The Organizing Committee received confirmation from 28 countries on five continents; America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Oceania. These countries also responded to the UCI circular that conditions the presence of the national track teams in the elite category World Championships, to their participation in the junior category world championships. That is, to attend the elite world championship, you must necessarily run the junior world championship.

These are the 28 countries that have already secured their participation in the UCI Cali 2023 Junior Track Cycling World Championships:

Africa (2): Ghana, Egypt.

America (5): Argentina, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Trinidad and Tobago.

Asia (9): Armenia, Saudi Arabia, India, Iran, Israel, Japan, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Taiwan.

Europe (10): Germany, Spain, France, Great Britain, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Ukraine.
