BOGOTÁ. The Colombian Didier Chaparro (SuperGiros) was on Tuesday one day to be crowned as the new champion of the 38th edition of the Tour of Chiriqui, after maintaining the leadership in the fulfillment of the ninth stage, in which he won the place alone Yelko Gómez (Team Ininco), during the route with departure and arrival in Guacala over a distance of 166 kilometers.

Before starting the hard climb of the day three riders received the approval of the leader for a leak where was the Guatemalan Julio Padilla (Optica Deluxe) and the Dutch Jacok Buijk (Team Global Cycling) and Piort Havik (Team Global Cycling), who reached to have an income in favor of 2 minutes and 55 seconds.

In the mountain prize there was the great battle where the Costa Rican Daniel Bonilla (Néstle-Giant) became a transient leader when leading a fugue together with Yelko Gómez (Team Ininco). When it was thought that Bonilla could become a new leader he suffered a mechanical problem, resigning his pretensions.
