The first news about the teams invited to the Women’s Tour de France leave for our continent the possibility of two Latina cyclists participating with the Spanish club Movistar Team: the Cuban Arlenis Sierra and the Colombian Paula Patiño, both with distinguished honors in the professional races of the set.

With 100 days to go before the start of the event, renamed for 2023 as Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift, the A.S.O., the Organizing Committee made official the 22 teams that will be at the start of Clermont-Ferrand, in the heart of Auvergne, next July 23th.

The organization ended up inviting 5 teams: the French Arkéa Pro Cycling Team, Cofidis Women Team and St Michel-Mavic-Auber93 WE, the Belgian AG Insurance-Soudal Quick Step Team and the Norwegian Team Coop – Hitec Products.

These invited casts are joined by the two best UCI Women’s Continental Teams of 2022, the German squad CERATIZIT-WNT Pro Cycling and the British formation Lifeplus Wahoo.

Likewise, there will be the 15 teams of the highest women’s category (UCI Women’s WorldTeams), which includes the Spanish Movistar Team, led by world champion Annemiek van Vleuten, winner of this fight in 2022.

The Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift 2023 (from July 23 to 30) will cover a total of 956 kilometers in its eight stages, with one day in the mountains, ending in the Tourmalet, two on undulating terrain, four flat segments and one 22 km time trial on the last day, which will finish defining the winner of the French round.
