The event will feature 143 riders from 23 teams, including 75 elite and 68 under-23 cyclists. The race will also have international representation from teams in seven countries and a total of 37 foreign riders.
Colombia will lead the group of participating nations, joined by delegations and riders from Mexico, Ecuador, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Guatemala, Panama, Chile, Spain, and the United States, reflecting the international growth that the Colombian women’s tour has achieved.
Among the strongest teams is Team Sistecrédito, the 2025 team champion and a leading force in Colombian cycling. They will be led by Diana Carolina Peñuela, the current two-time champion of the race (2022-2025) and one of the most experienced riders in the Colombian peloton. She will compete alongside Erika Botero, Laura Daniela Rojas, and Stefanía Sánchez.
The international roster will feature prominent figures such as Venezuelan Lilibeth Chacón, a three-time Vuelta champion (2021, 2023, and 2024) and a leading figure in South American cycling. She will head the Spanish team Eneicat-Becall, along with Chilean Aranza Villalón (2019 champion) and Spaniard Tamara Eijas.
Another top-level team will be Patobike BMC, which boasts a strong Mexican contingent comprised of Andrea Fregoso, Yareli Acevedo, and Jacqueline Tamez, along with Guatemalan Jasmín Soto and Colombian Milena Salcedo.
The North American presence will also be prominent with Project Chaos Cycling, an American squad featuring Hayley Wickstrom, Stefanie Young, Olivia Bealtie, Cheyenne Noble, and Megan Brinkmeyer.
Ecuador will be represented by several key riders across different teams. Best PC will feature Michela Molina, Marcela Peñafiel, and Ana María Torres, while Team Toscara Orasi will include Camila Salgado, Alison Fuertes, and Samantha Simbaña. It’s worth noting that Myriam Núñez, the 2020 champion, will be part of Avinal Carmen de Viboral.

Likewise, teams such as Bogotá-IDRD-Licibog, Boyacá Es Para Vivirla, Team Bacx, San Mateo Pro Cycling, Team Polibikes Risaralda, and Ciclismo Capital-Fun Gero will contribute young talent and under-23 riders who will be looking to make their mark in the main stage race on the national women’s calendar and one of the most important women’s races on the American calendar.
The 2026 edition of the Vuelta a Colombia Femenina Sistecrédito will traverse the roads of Cundinamarca, Tolima, Quindío, and Risaralda, with a demanding route that includes medium-mountain stages, sprint stages, and a decisive individual time trial to close the competition.
