The Colombian National Team of Paracycling under the guidance of coaches Jaime Ramirez Bernal and Samuel Devia Sanchez had a good day in the third day of the Paracycling Road World Championship, which takes place simultaneously with the conventional one in Zurich, Switzerland.
Colombian cyclist Paula Caballero won the bronze medal in the individual time trial of the C3 category in Paracycling, after finishing the 18.8 kilometers course in 28 minutes and 46 seconds.
The athlete from Paisa placed third behind Sweden’s Anna Beck, who won the gold medal, and the American Jamie Whitmore, who won the silver medal.
This medal is the second one obtained this season by the cyclist from Antioquia, who had won the silver medal in the scratch, at the Paracycling Track World Championships held in March in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Caballero will compete again this Saturday, September 28 in Zurich, Switzerland, in the women’s long-distance race in the category (C3). On the same day, Carolina Munévar (C2) and Paula Andrea Ossa (C5) will be in action.
